I worked as a "bouncer" in Bananas in Cardiff, with a cocktail bar!

The guy who made them was Tony, who once gave me a cocktail to try.
It was his own concoction, and he called it "Marilyn Monroe".

When I asked him why, he said, "It's got loads of body!"

( Oh, and I forgot the Platform shoes. Think I'm still suffering...)

My wife was watching that earlier, right cheesy, still remember Tiffany though, what was that about her doing some interresting photos when she was older?
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

    Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result

Yeah, too bad. Without this music, you wouldn't have House, Garage, Rap, etc, etc, etc....

Lived my teens in the 80s. For me the style slick. Puma cardigans(wooly/hairy), Pastel yellow or green shirts, thin leather ties, Pepe "stonewash" jeans or wool trousers with coloured flecks in them, often worn with patant leather slip ons or white Puma trainers. oh and not forgetting the leather jacket often with sleeves roled up.

Puma was the be all in my home town, until these new fangled trainers from Nike came out. They had air and not foam/rubber in the soles!!!! Like that was ever to catch on!!

I was lucky enuff to work in two really cool clothes shops, so had 1/2 price on everything!

Luomo silk lined Italian pants, Ben Sherman shirts - the nice ones! - and choice of any jackets, ties, shoes etc. All alterations were free too.
God, I looked like a Mafia Don!!!

We had a sales code "BROWN SAUCE" so B= 1 to E = 0 etc, so as I was selling stuff I could see that the punters were paying at least twice the cost price!
Glad it wasn't me paying full whack! Commission for sales was good too.

Also worked at a private fitness club, all the staff got free usage, the punters were paying over a Grand per year, and this was in 80/81.

Career? What career? She only had 2 or 3 records out.

Think the most famous one, "Think we're alone now" probably refers to her conversation with her invisible friends at the Hollywood Re-hab Centre for never-have-beens...
