LLandegla route closures!

Just to let you know there where minor route closures and diversions in place at Llandegla yesterday.
They where carrying out trail work on the felled section at the top of the first climb. Its the section of red route that leads to the first tabletops, these then take you down and back onto the first big burm on the red (it does needs doing). Hope that make sense!
Edit: Its marked on the route map as W65 Yellow pines jumps/Bob's sleighrun.
There's Nothing on the Coed Llandegla website other than
All Routes are diverted at post 25 leading onto Car Park until 5pm Friday 14th May 2010
Please obey all diversion signage.
Note They're not same thing!

Yeah we went last week, although we were not happy to say the least!
The trail was closed off just over the track at the end of the first fun bit after the fire road climb!
Rather than have a wasted journey we decided to backtrack a few
metres and join the blue trail (although admittedly this was a change after never doing it before). Our ride was cut very short.
We found out after speaking to people back at the visitor centre that the red was open just after the closure further along the fire road- you can imagine our frustration!
No signs, no warning from the shop staff- even though bikes were hired!
We all felt cheated! Poor customer service / lack of communication!
Two of the riders still enjoyed it though as it was their first time mtbing.

You can not rely on the website as I don’t think it gets updated that often. They are repairing or upgrading the trails every week , it is also a working forest so you see diversions and restrictions on a regular basis.
They are normally very good at putting up temporary signs if there are any changes as they tell you it’s for your own safety.
It’s not good though if you have travelled a long way to do just the blue run , cover only 8 miles and get in less than 1 hour of riding , its worth spending the day there and doing red/black and blue.0 -
Where the trail is closed before the first lot of table tops (Yellow Pine), you turn right down the fire road for a little bit then there's tons of orange netting and a sign which sends you down a path, hairpin back on yourself and you're on the approach to what used to be the Tilhill berm.0
