My new favourite colour - Blue!

This weekend, I spent a happy Saturday in Glentress with two friends. We did the Red first and had a predictably good time. Pausing only for tea and cake in the Hub (I understand this to be compulsory?) we then rode back up the trail to do the Blue. What a revelation!! This run was laugh-out-loud fun - the swoopiest, bermiest, jumpiest fun I've had in a long time!
Whatever else you do, don't ignore this trail just coz of it's Blue grading. I don't see how anyone could fail to get to the bottom of this run without a seriously big grin on their face.
Another pleasant surprise on Saturday was the unexpectedly high number of families and lady bikers on the trails. Hurrah for all the young 'uns out on the trails! Even more hurray for fit lady bikers in lycra!

I keep meaning to get back to the Blue at Llandegla. Its always tempting once youve gone black to never go back, but after only ever doing the blue once before (the first time I went) I really fancy trying it again0

We did the blue, followed by the red/black as one circuit at Llandegla. Worked out a little over 30km and was great fun, a real mix of riding. The best bit about the blue was that it could be ridden absolutely flat out which made it a lot more interesting than I suspect it's designed for!0
