Rubbing brakes!

I picked up my new marin northside trail a week ago and I've taken it back twice because the front brake pad was rubbing. The problem was sorted the first time with a quick adjustment to the pads. After a small ride I noticed that it was rubbing again and the disk looked like it was slightly bent/warped! I was told the disk can bd bent back into place. Is this true? Is it common?

Thanks for your replys. I paid £700 for the bike (granted it's not top of the range) but you don't expect to hear the brakes rubbing! Grrr! I think I will have to take it back for the third time! Thanks again.0

If it continues, look at realigning the calipers very slightly.
Losen off the bolts for the caliper and turn the wheel, adjust so that it stops rubbing then retighten.0 -

have you bedded the brakes in yet?
and yes some light rubbing is totally normal."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

When I first got my Marin I had a similar thing but having had my Marin for over a year now, it still works like a dream. They can be slightly bent but it is easily corrected.
Hope you're enjoying your new luxury purchase.0
