XC scene in Carmarthenshire area?

I'm going to be moving to carmathen to study at the univeristy there in sept 2010, im wondering if theres much of a cycling scene in the local are, how far i need to be looking for some good routes, any clubs, shops etc you'd reccomend?

    hi i live in carmarthen brechfa forest is on the dorstep all tracks and trails no cycle club in carmarthen im a roadie :twisted: afan argoed is only 30 mins by car another purpose built off road center county cycles is a good cycle shop based in cross hands carry a good range of kit also hobbs cycles in carmarthen carry a lot of top end kit . hope this helps you out. ps track racing at carmarthen park every thursday if you fancy converting :lol::lol: iwill have a look around for you if i find more out i will post it or pm you
