No, I'm not Paul Weller, I'm Brad Wiggins, get it right
I know this may not go over well on this forum, but when Wiggins opens that mouth, the cringe factor just SKY rockets.
What is his position on doping now? Apparently, a little is ok? And taking shots at Garmin and HTC?
A great ride yesterday, but what is he doing?

I believe you'll find out if you read the interview in the link you posted.
"At Team Sky we have a philosophy about that [doping] but we don't preach to the world about what we do," he said, when asked if his success can help the Giro after several years of doing scandals.
"We believe in what we do and stick with it 100 per cent, but we don’t go out there and accuse everyone else because they don't follow our philosophy. We do what we do and we don't care what anyone else does. We not one for walking round preaching about not taking drugs. We're not fighting to be 100 per cent clean. It's just the way we do it and the way I prefer to compete."
I am not sure how you think this equates to "a little is OK".Le Blaireau (1)0 -

OK -- fair enough. But that is a little different position than the following:
Bradley Wiggins of Cofidis is ashamed of his sport. "After last year's Tour de France I didn't feel proud to be a professional cyclist," he told the Daily Mirror. "And I feel the same now. Doping problems affect everyone in the peloton," noted the 26 year-old. "I've got children, a wife and a house and I could lose my livelihood because someone who tests positive finishes ahead of me. It's about time someone had some balls and told it how it was. There are enough of us who think the way I do."
"They say it's only one or two but I'm sure more people are doing these things. So it's my role as a role-model to expose it and not pretend it isn't happening," he continued. "I don't think it's right I should come up in front of everyone and put up a smokescreen and say everybody is OK and there are only one or two people doing this. My big motivation this year is to prove that you can win clean."

Maybe he feels that cycling has changed enough now from systematic doping to cyclists doping against the wishes of their teams. I imagine that Liquigas wouldn't be suing Beltran if the team was doping up its riders - they wouldn't want him opening his mouth if that were the case, would they?
He may also feel that it is possible to race and compete clean - look at the successes of Evans and Gilbert in the Ardennes for example.0 -
Maybe.
Of course, Liquigas seems ready to defend Pellizotti.
I just think he is knocking Garmin and HCT, and I don't know why he would do that.0 -
I was watching the preview of a F1 race recently and saw Weller on the grid. I thought "Blimey, he's really let himself go."
Then I realised it was Bernie Ecclestone.Le Blaireau (1)0 -

THIS is just Bradley trolling for forums surely:
"My memory of [today's] stage is being congratulated by most of my peers: Vinokourov, Basso, Garzelli. Them showing you respect like that is nice."

Like he cares. To be congratulated by those guys is affirmation of joining the elite. Whatever their past, they are the top of the tree. It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0 -
Nah I reckon he's stirring it with that one.
