Hi all, i'm seriously considering buying a pike for the front of my bike. I've seen a 426 coil for £320 and was wondering f that was a pretty good deal? Was also wondering what exactly the differences are between 426 and 454 and also between the 09 and 10 ones. Thanks a lot. Oh, also, would you advise it over a fox float rl? I will be using it for mainly all mountain, trail stuff but also some tame freeride on my Norco Bigfoot. :) Thanks all
Mabie forest. Maybe one of the greatest places to ride.

The Pike 454 U-Turn is cheap on Wiggle this weekend, if you're a customer that is. Personally, i prefer Marzocchi forks.

Pikes are very good forks but personally I would always pick Fox over anything else

    Why?

    To me?

If so, I just prefer the feel of the Fox dampers and the quality of them.

Don't get me wrong, Rock Shox are great, just I prefer Fox. Anyone else have a problem with that

No problem son, just wondered why. Fox seem to have a certain following and I can't seem to get it, so just wondered why. Plus the OT didn't mention Fox- just asking about Pikes...

 Skimmed over the last bit TBH. I stand corrected.

Back on topic- Pikes are good for the money, I'm hapy with mine and I know people that swear by them.

That Wiggle price is not that cheap matey.

Merlin have the 454 coil u-turn on at £390 at the moment. That's the one I'd go for (and actually did go for).

As for chosing them over Fox forx. I don't like the service fees and intervals for Fox stuff, and they are overpriced for what you get.
For me, the real choice would be between Rev Air and Pike coil, and that comes down to usage / personal preference.

Float RL is not really comparable to the Pike - the Rev is more similar

Pikes are great forks, i have a pike on my bike, and it just performs flawlessly. A bit heavy, but they haven't been changed for about 5 years. That might be seen as a bad thing, but they haven't needed to change them!

I haven't ridden fox forks before, but they do seem to be slightly overpriced for what they are.
