I have just taken a ride into Kiev and have bought a new Giant SCR 1, so I am going out for my first ride since I moved out of Paris, I ordered the SCR 2, but they don't have the letter S in Ukrainian and there was a hybrid ready and prepped for me  However the bloke in the shop phoned his boss and they did me a discount on the 1 split the difference in my favour and so I bought the 1. I am just off out for my first ride :D

I hope the weather was better for your ride than it has been in my neck of the woods.
How was the new beast ?

I have been out for an hour on the new beast, it is good, the saddle is an implement of torture, the last time I was on a worse saddle was the original equipment gel saddle on a new Dawes Galaxy circa 1996. I will be having it serviced in a few weeks back at the shop in Kiev, and will have a new saddle put on it, a San Marco Rolls if possible, a Brooks B17 probably a little to obscure for round here.

The thing which struck me when riding it, is how much lowish end bikes have improved in the last ten years, technology is really ramping up, the bike is light, handles well but is stable, possibly all day comfortable. I am impressed I will have to complain to Wiggle :)
