Not actually compare Jacqui Smith to Pol Pot, I am laughing about it, but the idea that someone who achieves high office should be admired for their achievement is very dodgy territory, look at the list of people who have acheived great but not necessarily good things.

Seeing the hurt on her face made me feel sympathy for her. It didnt make me want to revel and gloat with bitterness and hatred as i think i would have sounded like a JEALOUS NO MARK!!

Do you feel the same way about bankers? They've done pretty well for themselves, so well done to them?

Ultimately, I despise the way some people in this country mourn others' success and celebrate their failure. However, in this case, the glee is justifiable. Whilst her success was admirable, the fact is, she had her nose in the trough and abused YOUR TAXES! It's not like it was a "few mistakes", she deliberately abused the system.

Agreed - New Labour would be better just micro-chipping everyone at birth

Don't you know that micro-chipping would be fair? Micro-chipping part of a future fairer for all. Part of her comments on being reprimanded on the expenses scandal:

Ms Smith reacted by saying that she was "disappointed that this process has not led to a fairer set of conclusions, based on objective and consistent application of the rules as they were at the time."

I look forwards to her & her family returning to live in her main residence.

She was a high achieving determined woman, who decided that she'd claim for porn films watched by her husband. If she didn't know about it, WHY? She should be checking EVERY expense that she claims from the tax payer. She was astute enough to declare that her sisters spare room was her main residence whilst she claimed for the residence that her immediate family lived at. Good ridance to her and every other MP (irrelevant of party) who claims for outrageous items. Why shouldwe be paying for widescreen plasma TV's, Duck houses, paintings, wallpaper, Mortgages or security patrols?
