Decided to treat myself to some aero wheels.Unsure whether to go for Zipp 404 clinchers or the lighter tubulars or campag bora ones. Would like the wheels to be as light as possible, but concerned about the change to tubs. The wheels are to be used for all round use on our UK roads, not just for racing. Any reccomendations?

I have a 404/808 set of tubs, they are fantastic but wouldn't use them for all round use as it's a pain in the arse puncturing...
The braking is fab with Swissstop yellow pads.
They have just brought out a carbon clincher version though but still a bit heavier than the tub version.
Edge do good, light carbon clincher rims as do Reynolds and Easton although I haven't personally tried them...0 -

I have 404's, but like Nap, I don't use them for daily riding...
If I were to use tubs daily, I think I'd go for Gigantex rims.Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
I have Zipp 404s the clincher version. Fantastic wheels but as the guys have said not everyday wheels. Why dont you get a pair of Zipps and a cheap set of everyday wheels like Planet X Model B.0
