Crushed vertibrae, legs and collarbones broken, concussion.


And it didn't even happen in the UK!

    I've crashed in a very similar way, but was lucky enough to come off better. I hope they all make a rapid and full recovery :(.

    Hannah Mayo's family live in my village, she and her sisters went to school with my kids. I hope she makes a full recovery - apparently she took the impact, 2 broken legs, broken arm & wrist requiring surgery.

    With injuries like that I think the last thing on my mind would be getting back on my bike, but I imagine you don't get in the GB squad without some serious guts. Sounds like it'll be a pretty miserable recovery process, at least if the broken arm and wrist are on the same side she can still browse bikeradar.
