OK I thought the title would grab your attention!...I am Australian and a female, please no jokes as I really want to know. I buy all my cycle stuff from PBK, Wiggles and Ribbles and very occasionally CRC. Can some kind uncondescending soul please explain the difference between the terms 'knickers' and 'tights'?They must be UK terms....

yep, that's pretty much it.
Knickers are 3/4 length, thights are full length.....Science adjusts it’s beliefs based on what’s observed.

that's also my understanding
I know it's not good form to laugh at spelling mistakes but "thights" made me chuckle0 -

Knickers can mean shorts, so half length and shorter, as well as 3/4 length.
You really need to check through the item before buying, I guess.
Tights are, however, as has already been said on several occasions, full length.
You might like to try Minx for girls' cycling stuff, too.
