Is anyone interested in a ride around Tenerife ? I live in a villlage called Vilaflor which is in the mountains up from the south cost. I regularly ride up and around El Teide and the anaga mountains.

My Uncle in law owns a flat in Los Christianos, and we'd been to it every year when my wife and I started dating and eventually got married. Took our 2 kids over from babies and really enjoyed our yearly trips. However, we've not been to the Island for 10 years and have just booked the flights to come again this year in July :) Looking forward to seeing how much the area has changed since we left last time.
I jokingly suggested I take my road bike with me, which went down like a lead balloon! :(
I was thinking of looking into renting something over there, cause 2 weeks without cycling will kill me. Do you know of anywhere in Los Christianos or Los Americas that rents road or mtbs?

Hopefully I'll be back off to southern spain where my mum lives to ride again in November.

I would highly recommend hiring from this australian guy. Hired from him twice in 2009, good bikes good price.

His website has great rides mapped out and info on cycling there. The 02 ride or that done in reverse (great descent down the spine of the island) is amazing.

    Enjoy
