Girls,
Looking to get a new hardtail in around the £1000 mark on this scheme.
Edging towards womens specific.
Any suggestions?

Any you can try out for size really - but what sort of MTB do you want?
What do your local dealers stock?0 -
Well I do a fair bit of road biking and a bit of mtb around the 7 stanes trails and XC.
I've looked at Kona / Trek and Merida but leaning towards the Orange Diva Pro...

What do you think?0 -
The Orange Diva Pro is nicely specced, but usually retails at 1300. Kona and Trek do some nice womens designs, but are not always the greatest value. I wouldn't rule out the mens versions either as sizes vary enormously.
I would try out two or three and go for what feels best to you. None are bad bikes, as at this price all have good kit.0 -
My wife has a Scott Contessa hardtail though not sure which model - she likes it and I know it has had good reviews.Commencal Meta 5.5.1

Have a look at Cube Ltd Race which I think is just £1000 or the women's specific Access WLS Pro for £800 http://www.cubecycles.co.uk/cube_en/wom ... s-pro.html0
