Bike to Work Scheme

Looking to get a new hardtail in around the £1000 mark on this scheme.

Edging towards womens specific.

Any suggestions?

Well I do a fair bit of road biking and a bit of mtb around the 7 stanes trails and XC.

I've looked at Kona / Trek and Merida but leaning towards the Orange Diva Pro...

Local dealers stock Bianchi / Kona / Merida / Trek.

What do you think?

The Orange Diva Pro is nicely specced, but usually retails at 1300. Kona and Trek do some nice womens designs, but are not always the greatest value. I wouldn't rule out the mens versions either as sizes vary enormously.

I would try out two or three and go for what feels best to you. None are bad bikes, as at this price all have good kit.

My wife has a Scott Contessa hardtail though not sure which model - she likes it and I know it has had good reviews.
