Coed Y Brenin Temtiwr
Where are my stabilisers?

What's the little Temtiwr trail like for difficulty? I'll be passing through the area in a couple of weeks and I'm hoping to squeeze in a little ride (very little even for me ) What I'm interested in knowing is, how technical it is... can anyone compare it to any of the Brechfa trails for its technical status?
Cheers

I don't remember it being especially difficult. Or especially memorable, for that matter...Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.0

Hmm, yeah I was thinking that might be the case as I can't find out much about it. I don't know If I'm going to be able to stop off there yet, but I thought it would do for a quick spin. I was just worried that because it's so short, it might be a toughie. I'll probably give it a go if the rest of the people in the car don't mind a quick pit stop!!http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss9/ ... lurLT2.jpg

Do the newer Cyfylm Coch one, it's got the best bits in it and it's nott too scarey

Oh, I haven't noticed that one before on the website - that might be more worth it as long as it's not too scarey!
I'm gonna want to stop off for longer now - it seems that Coed Y Brenin has a lot to offer. A bit of persueding may be called forhttp://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss9/ ... lurLT2.jpg

Some of the routes are better the second or third time round - once you know the trail you can really let rip. It gets pretty interesting at speed.0 -
Cool, I think I'll do a cheap camping trip there in the Summer for a few days. My nearest trail centre is Brechfa, but I think it's time for a bit of variety!http://i556.photobucket.com/albums/ss9/ ... lurLT2.jpg

There's a pretty sweet looking B&B/Inn type of place just down the road from it. Unfortunately I can't for the life of me remember what it's called, but I've passed it several times and though "ah, I'll have to remember to suggest this to forum members looking to stay near Coedy"
hmm
It appears there is also some kind of log cabins or something for hire in the forest itself, from the signs I've seen dotted around the woods.0 -
and Cae Gwyn campsite for camping

I stayed in Tyn-y-groes, was quite nice. If you've planning on spending more time there, my favourite bits were pink heifer, big doug and the adams family sectionsRock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.0

Pink Heifer, Addams family, Snap Crackle and Pop, Dreamtime, Kane and Abel, there's loads of fantastic sections that remind me why I ride every time I'm there0

Temtiwr (red route) is about 1hour ride total, if I am not wrong its shortened sections of Dragons Back. Have been to CYB few times. The only route didn't do was MBR* , CYB is about Dragons Back, Tarw and MBR routes, other trail sections got mixed together and given different names. Yeehaamcgee, shame on me, can't even remember all names of awesome trail sections ... there are so many!!! But you mentioned all different sections from different routes**. I liked everything about Tarw, and Dragons Back the beginning of Mortizia and 4-5following sections after that are -ace* ... that Villa in middle of DB* is a good place to have a lunch too.
Stayed in Tyn-Y-Groes B&B, good place and their food is good! Anyone have stayed in other places? Have heard about Bunk houses in the middle of forest with cheaper rates? Any details how to find them? What could have been (Video)
I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though0 -
Its only 8.7km long but is pretty good if youv'e only got a sort time, its a red route with 170m of climbs and takes 30 mins- 1 hour. A short ride is better than no ride.Ride bike, eat cake, drink tea, ride bike, eat cake, dri...........0
