Hi,
I am planning to ride to Paris and I need a way to carry my belongings with me. I don't want a large backpack so I suppose I need to get a pannier rack. I've got a boardman road comp and I was hoping you could advise me on which racks will fit/are compatible with my bike. Also how much will it be able to carry?
Many thanks,

Depends how much you are planning to carry...
If you want to travel really light, and don't want to bother with a traditional rack have a look at the Topeak Beamrack/Trunkbag range.
If you want more space, and a more secure system, look at Blackburn racks and Ortlieb panniers. You probably don't have pannier rack fittings on your bike, so you'll need P clips to allow you to mount the rack on the stays +/- seatpost fitting.
If you have money to burn, have a look at the Tubus range. They do some lightweight minimalist ones, and have a clever fitting that replaces your rear skewer with one to support the rack.
Have a look at www.sjscycles.co.uk. They have a good range of racks and mounting accessories.0
