Campagnolo 11sp chain wear
I installed 11sp record on my bike a few weeks ago and have only done a few hundred miles on it so far. I was a bit shocked to notice that according to the park tools chain wear measurer, the chain is already nearly 50% worn... So I went out and bought a steel inch ruler to measure actual chain length, and found that it has not extended much at all (hardly measurable).
Now, I know that the park tools measurer is not supposed to be the best way to measure chain wear, but on my old 10sp chain it took a lot longer before it was indicating 50% wear. Is this because the bushings wear faster on 11sp, even if the chain length isn't affected? There has been a lot of fine grit and sand around where I am...
I won't replace the chain until it is 1/16th" past 12" on length, but I'm still curious why the park tools device is appearing to show such rapid wear on the 11sp. Has anyone else noticed this?

The adjustable Park tool can show 50% wear on very new chains Don't panic wear seems to be equal to 10 speed in my experienceRacing is life - everything else is just waiting0
