Cannock is worth going to as I go up there quite a bit. Its all down to you what you think of it. Never been to Sherwood though so cant comment on it.
Regarding the term "course" which term are you saying a course that you ride on or a course that you go on. ie college course?0 -

Run by a chap on here going by the name of Jedi. Based in Hertfordshire but as of their website they teach all over the uk, on 'your' trails. I have never used myself, but there have been various threads on here and other forums highly recommending his services
