New bike needed?

I have recently been suffering form acute pain in lower back / right hip area,I have been to Physio and carring out her stretching and core excercises but still suffering from pain if I exert myself at all.......I am riding SCR 2 ( pretty upright as it is ).....are there any other bike types that would be easier on my aging body?

Sorry couldn't resist How long hae you had the bike? Is it definately not a problem with the fit/set up? A hybrid would give an even more upright position and maybe change to wider tyres?

Problem arose after Lap The Lough in Ireland last year when I pushed too hard and have had problems ever since....LBS has said set up fine on bike?

Well i haven't really got a clue, would have thought someone more experienced with this kind of thing will be along though. What do the bike shop recommend?

Seems very odd for it to suddenly come on....... :?
