I've just been diagnosed with Terminal Jealousy...so haven't got long to..GASP!...live.

Please make a "Wish for TJ Sufferers" come true, and send me the bike asap.

    Cough...Cough! I...haven't...got....much....time...left...

    Thank....you.

Had an hour on it this morning, it's bloody fast!

Also the saddle is rock hard & the bars are huge @ 700mm wide

surprises me that it wasnt equipped with a flat bar given it's racy stance and geometry... ?

Looks great and a right singletrack ripper!!!

Bars are fairly flat, same as these but OE for Cube made from 2014 not 7075

    http://www.syntace.com/index.cfm?pid=3&pk=941

It was pretty good on a short loop of my local woods, pretty flat, & fast stuff, no techy bits though

Gonna swap the saddle for a Spoon for the time being, might try the EC70 bars off the 5 on it, they're pretty low rise & should shed a little weight

Nope, no ladies were annoyed in the taking of those pics ;)

Just had the Cube up on the newly acquired digital scales

    The result: 26lb 14oz (12.2kg)

Bike spec is slightly different, a white Charge Spoon Ti saddle has replaced the Fizik, the Cube sponge grips are off & Lizard Skins logo lock ons are on the bars now.

Think I might get an XTR cassette for it & shed a few g when the 990 wears out

Saying that I'm happy at sub 27lb for a comfy fast xc/marathon bike

Not really muddy, just a light splattering...

I'll be using the Cube as a summer bike & my Orange 5 as a winter bike so I don't think it'll get too dirty

Guess he was trying to sell you a bike that he stocks ;)

The AMS Pro Frame is triple butted, the welds look good, everything has a quality feel to it, certainly not a cheap frame with a fancy paint job in my experience.

I've got one too and think the same. It feels really high quality, and not cheap at all - the paint job is also very good though, which makes a nice change for an expensive bike ;)

I agree with Andy B, sounds like he's trying to get you to buy something in his shop :)
It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

  • very nice, and another lovely paintjob from cube
  • Lovely bike :) Although if i put my bike on the sofa, the bike would be wrapped round my face.
  • Definitely just trying to sell the bikes he stocks rather than actually helping someone out.

Cube bikes are very well made, had a LTD pro a while ago and it was a lovely bike.
  • Nice bike.!

Ive got an ams comp and after upgrading the brakes and few other things to get closer to the pro spec it is just wonderful! Not finished yet though. Not enough fox logos for my liking

    :D

  • Also replaced the tyres now for 2.4 fat alberts. Thats mad a great difference to grip on the black runs, the racing ralph was a little slippery at times
