Pronghorn sounds like a mens early morning scenario.

Yeh it's quite a short headtube. Having been for a few rides on it now I'm glad I left it so tall even though it looks a bit odd. It rides really nice, seems to climb nearly as fast as my old Anthem Advanced but decends a lot faster :D

As to the redness...I love it 8)

Are they the tube length decals? I'd remove them immediately, completely ruins the look imo, something I bit more understated and possibly red would look sweet.

    Hmmm a nice idea....
I'd be a bit apprehensive about making a mess of it though.

I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.

I wouldnt even think about tinkering with the decals, they look fine. If it ain't broke dont fix it... ;)
  • Just found this:

    Pronghorn Trail frame

Been looking at them for a while at my local bike shop and rode their demo bikes. REALLY rapid things so might go into shop and make them an offer for their other frames or ex-demo bikes.

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas of what colour I should paint it (one of the few who isn't into while unfortunately!) if I were to get one.

The main concern with them is the fact that warranties are unlikely to be honoured if something goes wrong as Pronghorn went bust a few months ago and the new owners have said they will not support warranties on previously sold bikes.
  • Aye, that's what they said in the shop. They weren't too complimentary about the people in the company but love the bikes. They wouldn't sell folk the carbon ones but are happy to sell the alloys because they have some backup and they haven't gone wrong yet apparently...

Lovely bike, think the size up may have suited you better as the bigger the frame the longer the headtube usually.

Wont see many of them on the trail, bit of exclusivity is nice and always gets a bit of interest, good choice mate.
  • Lovely, very original. My mate also pick one up in Oz. I will ask him to post up some pic's. BTW what 's the frame size?
    Vodka anyone? "Honk"

  • Very weird looking bike, but diggen it in a way. I would avoid a bike from a company that's gone bust though, that'S a fair chunk of money to be spunking on something that won't get fixed under warranty.
