Phone Text Scam?

About an hour ago I received a text message on my phone.
From 85222
This is a subscription service
Cost 2.50 pounds per week.
New content will be available shortly 18+
SP: CircleMarketing, text stop 85222 to cancel

Now I have never downloaded a ringtone or a screensaver for my phone and I'm sure as hell sure that I've not subscribed to a 18+ adult service (even given my present situation) I've had that phone number for 10 years so it's not from a recycled number that did subscribe to this cr@p
Anyone know anything about these things and what to do about getting it stopped.
If I text STOP back wouldn't that show that they spammed a real number and I get more spam and get a huge bill that I can't afford to pay?
