Sherwood is the seat I reside in.

B.N.P.
Conservative
Labour
Liberal Democrat
None of the above (independent)
UKIP.

Who do you think will win your local parliamentary seat?

I think the Conservatives will win this seat as some will be dissolusioned with labour and the Lib Dems strong showing will split what's left of the potential labour vote.

    Conservative

    Christian Party

It's almost definitely going to be Conservative, as it has been since 1979. We're considered a pretty safe seat.

Although it does make me wonder, what if he didn't, but the Conservaties had enough of a majority to form the next govenment, who leads them? I'm guessing Cameron wouldn't be able if he's not an MP. Would his party just vote for another leader? Don't see it happening, but might interesting...

Phil Woolas had a small majority of a few thousand last time out, but boundary changes have given him a larger grab at the working class old Labour vote.

I'm still not convinced it'll be enough for him to win over an area that gave Labour a kick up the arse for a complacent local govenment camplaign last time and this though.
Along with the concerted daily bombardment of leaflets and literature from the Lib Dem's.
My god can those people point at things, potholes, railings, litter, graffiti - theres nothing they won't stand in front of, finger out looking worried when theres a camera about.

the last 3 haven't troubled my letterbox with a single lealet.

come on Phil, you can do it son.

The last one is the only candidate I've seen out & about

Easy labour win last time and would be surprised if that changed, though suspect a reduced majority.

    Labour and a few others.

It's pretty irrelevant really as Labour could present a Chimpanzee as their candidate with total confidence that it would be elected.

Yes, he's never known what it's like to work for a living. What would the puir wee mite do with his time if he were booted out I wonder?

Needless to say, for me, any result (even BNP), would be a good result if Woolas -one of Blair's 'yes-men'- was given the heave-ho. :D

The big 3, plus UKIP and Greens alongside a few independents.
Can't see Mr. Heald being ousted, as North East Herts is a pretty safe Tory seat. I think the surge in Lib Dem popularity might cut his majority to a few thousand.

Unfortunately the Lab candidate is Gordon Brown, so it is a done deal of who will win- 58% of the vote in 2005. Next best was SNP with 14%. Any old chimp with a Labour rosette wins round here

Could be enough to get them my vote then.
We've got all the usual suspects, Dundee West is a safe-as-houses Labour seat but then the SNP tipped them out of Dundee East last time, there has to be a chance they could do the same here. Nobody else has a hope.

We actually had the local Nat at the door yesterday, policies apart he actually seemed like a decent bloke - I'm fairly convinced that it's not the case that anybody wanting to be an MP must be a plonker, they just wind up that way after they get the job.

I always thought it was a stereotypical South Wales Labour safe seat but it was Tory from 83 to 87  Labour's majority has steadily declined over the last 2 elections and is down to 5,500 from 15,000 in 97 so it could be very close. I reckon Labour will hold as the Lib Dem resurgence will take votes off the Tories from those fed up with Labour and Flynn who seems to do very little for the constituency. My old constituency on Monmouthshire is likely to be a very close thing and has changed hands a few times in recent elections.

In theory it is possible for DC to be Prime Minister even if he is not voted in. However, the liklihood would be that they would make him a Lord and make him PM that way. A bit like Lord Mandy in NuLab I suppose.

    Susan Kramer(Liberal Democrat) Incumbent.
    Zac Goldsmith (Conservative)
    Eleanor Tunnicliffe (Labour)
    Peter Dul (UKIP)
    Susan May (CPA)
    Charles Hill (Independent)

Interesting this one. Kramer is a "solid" local MP, but is certainly not a "star" by any stretch of the imagination. She has had some dubious press about her tactics against Goldsmith and in relation to Kingston Hospital and I don't particularly like the way she has gone about things. Goldsmith is probably her nearest rival, he is young, posh, rich, but very much the "new" green tory. But he is naive, seemingly jaded by politics already and it is worth noting that Cameron hasn't leapt behind Goldsmith to help him win what should be a very winnable seat. This could be a very close one - but Kramer will romp home if labour supporters back her to keep Goldsmith out. Kramer is ex director of Citibank, Goldsmith is wealthy due to his dad - not much for the "common-man" there!

I liked the Charles Hill brochure that I got which said "the most important thing to do is to vote - so vote for somebody".
