Has anybody on here ever been mad enough to do it?

I have just come across it and god damn i really want to do it.

    Good itinerary, good write up, good guide even, a sportive addict!

    Better than most UK tour operators who have some overweight, flabby a$$ed, cranky, rude ex-elite rider who's slower than 50% of the clients, who can't be bothered to tell us that the bus at the bottom in Bourg d'Oisans has moved and that dinner was cancelled.

    Thanks, I feel better now. Man I'm glad that Baxters died, or was bought by STI. Had a really poor experience in the 2006 Etape with them. The famous bike park was some farmhouse where 90% of the bike had to be left outside. Up at 4am as per usual. I don't know why people still bother.

    $2995 is a lot of sheckels tho...

    I've done it... Twice!

    I beat jan janssen the first time too! Hard as nails and I was absolutely dead by the end of the week (threw in another long ride too!) but well worth it.
