What GPS App

I've treated myself to an iPhone 3GS and wondered if anyone out there can recommend a good GPS App where I can set up a bike (or walking) route on a map on my computer & then download it to my iPhone. I know there are free and cheap Apps available but I don't mind paying for something decent. Any suggestions? Thanks in anticipation.

I wouldn't recommend using an iphone for navigation, as with the screen/gps/data connection running, the battery won't last long. I used my iphone once in the car for navigation, and the battery was flat after around 2.5 hours.

If you don't mind paying for something decent I'd get a Garmin Edge 705
