...don't panic, no pictures here. On a sportive this w/e, couldn't help noticing several fellas who'se shorts were either so worn or under such duress that they were rendered virtually see through - not a nice view especially when already suffering up a killer climb. And I'm talking about black lycra here.

So, can you all please check your shorts regularly for the purpose of minimising possible trauma to other riders and the general public.

Once saw a guy on a sportive in white lycra with some kind of red posing pouch/thong type garment underneath, and the way he was standing made it seem like he wanted everyone to get a look. Scary.

This is another great reason to wear Assos. ;)

The pad's so huge that even if the shorts go transparent, my modesty will be relatively preserved.

Remember seeing a chap in Windsor a couple of years ago - he was wheeling his bike up and down the riverside in silver, unpadded lycra and was...er... 'at half-mast'.

Definitely wanted to be seen... very peculiar...

On my second trip to Windsor ever, late last year, The (ex) Mrs and I saw a guy like that too in the precinct pushing his bike  We commented at the time and after.
Is it a Winsor fashion thing or just the same circumsised guy in metalic coloured lycra shorts with no padding? :?:

The concerning thing here, is the number of men who have viewed the post........ myself included.

I blame it on morbid fascination, what's your excuse ?!?!

    Well, if it's a 50/50 split, that's still concerning :)

I try to get Mrs S to check the contents of my shorts on a regular basis. Not always successful though.... :(

I remember having an excellent view of a clubmate's crack through his worn Assos shorts.

That reminds me of our school football kit which, as it was the late 70's, was thin nylon. It was ok when it was dry but it went see through when it was wet and especially under fllodlights. Needless to say we only played on dry, sunny days.

Absolutely. The worst butt crack crimes I've seen were all comitted by Assos wearers.

The pad is anything but large.
