Anyone know whether a big screen goes up in Amsterdam or whatever for the Holland games. Going to be there when Holland play Japan and wondered if there was a perfect place to watch the game.

Not sure about a big screen, most public events i've been to in the dam have either taken place in the dam square or by the Magere Brug (skinny bridge). Or it might be on around the stadium (Biljmer Arena stop on the underground system)
Pub/Cafe wise There is a sports/hooters style cafe on the Damrak called teasers, and a coffeshop called the Grasshopper almost directly opposite on Oudebrugsteeg that has a sports cafe area too, (I once managed to watch Walsall play Leeds on the telly in there).
Another good place is the sky sports cafe at Leidseplein, although to be fair with both Leidseplein and Rembrantsplein, I doubt you will find a shortage of bars with the footy on0 -
Ive been to that sports bar place...that will probably be the best bet. Will fish out something bright orange.0

When I was there at the end of March the last day of the 6 Nations was on everywhere. Should be cool for a Holland football match!0
