can anyone recomend a good race fit jersey ? was planning to splash around £80 max on something new for the summer, i like em tight with zero flapping about. i'm probably medium/small for t-shirt sizing and i gather most manufacturers vary a bit (italian being small right?).

and who buys a black jersey ? surely it must offer practically zero visibility to other road users.

i was thinking white ought to be suitably sexy and not too hot.

cheers

People who don't ride their road bikes at night.

Just bought a white Bianchi jersey. The fit / cut is superb feels far superior to anything I've bought before but not cheap at £62. Would recommend.

The Giordana Body Clone series tend to be fairly slinky cut... and on the small side in size terms, but should be what you're after.

I usually race in plain black, might get one of them though, very nice!

I just bought a Santini Flow jersey from Prendas. Nice fit and at only £35 you could buy two.
    More problems but still living....
  • thanks for the ideas. i would consider buying black, it looks good, however i would just not be at all surprised when some numpty not looking where he's going pulls out in front of me and/or tries to drive right over me. fair enough maybe for racing on closed roads.

I was looking at the 2010 Pearl Izumi Elite jersey in white from Parker International, thought that looked quite nice, also that giordana body clone looks quite subtle, i wouldnt want anything too jazzy ..

If you want it for hot weather then the Gore Xenon jersey is great with a fine mesh side panel and under arm

    I rate zerorh+
they are firm in the fabric unlike assos and the bodyclone. Means if you need to carry tools, they won't bounce around or uncomfortably stretch the jersey.
Giordana and santini tend to get a little long over the but also.
Pearl izumi fabric is crap and they fit like a parachute.

Edit: zerorh+ is lycraish, so not firm as in non-stretchable, but as in real nice
