Looking at a pair of Ergo 2 Carbons and a pair of Energy 2 Carbons.

Are they worth the money coz they look the B@ll@cks!

I use Sidi boots on my motorbike so seems a good choice for my road bike.

Anyone got them and any comments?

I wouldnt - have you seen their cringe making advertisements - you're funding that !

I prefer Specialized shoes - very comfy and not as pricey.

I've not used the really expensive sidis, but I have some Genius 5s, and two pairs of Northwave Typhoons which are a similar price, and the Genius 5s do feel slightly better. How that relates to the Ergo and Energy 2s I don't know, because I've not used (nor felt the need for) such expensive shoes as my shoes never seem to last me much more than 12 months due to abuse.

    Oh yes.

If only for the half sizes they do to get the best fit. Although I have not seen too many places with the half sizes in the UK it is the most important part. I am 44.5 exactly and they fit like a sock.

I have had the new Ergo 2 light shoes since december and they are better than any light wheels of extra gear for me. Comfort in the saddle is most important for me.

They seem to be rather expensive from what I can see in the UK unless you get the older 2009 ones. They are cheaper on the continent at 240 euro in all sizes and flavours.

    Wow!

I have had my Sidi's for 6 years now :P
Not sure what model they are but the Dominator looks the closest now so they are far from the top range.
With a bit of a polish they look almost new 8)

My previous shoes were Shimano and the Sidi's are at least a league better.
More expensive but much more comfortable and given my usage, ultimately good value for money.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

I'll cast my vote of YES, they are worth the money, IF they fit you really well. I've used various brands of shoes until I found that ones made by Diadora seemed to fit ME the best. I've never really noticed any performance difference in shoes, except for ones that hurt or didn't fit well, then performance was down. As for durability I have owned some cheaper shoes that seemed to come apart a little sooner than the high dollar models but nothing of real note. Anyway that's my FWIW.

    Wow!

Crashing, and using cleat screws too short have knackered my last two pairs of shoes.

Although when I broke the buckle on my first pair of Typhoon, I couldn't find any replacement buckles for sale anywhere, it seems they are now available, so I might get some.

Apart from how I've broken all my shoes, they are all in goodish nick.

I have a pair of Sidi Ergo 2's... Leagues ahead of my Shimano.
There is a definite difference when wearing them.
Due to the price, they only seem to come out in the dry!
The soles are superb when pedalling, I feel nothing through them.
If I could find another pair at the same discount as last years... I'd snap them up!

My sidis seemed to fit me even better after being thoroughly rained on a few times...

They're also white, so want to keep them blingy!
And yes, I have the white overshoes, too...

Ergos 2's are great but, as said above, be sure that you can try them on before buying.

Sidi also do a MEGA fit for wider feet.....and there's micro adjustments that can be done on the heel to get a nice snug fit....and the feeling that nothing is being lost when turning the pedals in anger!

    Ah! Fair point.
Mine are mtb/touring and the soles protect the cleats.

Yes they are a great shoe had mine now 5 years and going strong.

Are they worth money? Debatable imo.

Just bought some Lakes for £65 and for the money they are excellent.
