The tabs on the pads often catch the rivets on the disc. So yes, if you file the pads down

so you remove the pad removal tags and then have problems fitting and removing the pads.

just use rotors that work fine.

I was going to get some hope floaters for my juicy 5's.

But then came across Ashima rotors:) Look just as good, if not better :)
WOW really? Carbon Fibre Hubs?? Well how about chucking that kebab in the bin?

No, they warp and you have to be careful with what pads you use. I did fit some 160mm and 180mm Airotors, if you think they're that good make me a reasonable offer and they're yours.

I'll take my floaters over Ashima Airotors any day.

Wait for superstar floating rotors to come out next month. Lots of colours and £23 each

You just need to bend the bits on the bottom of the pads slightly so they don't catch on the bobbins.

Hope floating rotors can actually foul the fork leg with certain combinations of hub and fork as well.

I also dont understand buying hope floating rotors unless you have purchased hope brakes, they are massively overpriced, no better than the G2/G3.

Im the biggest tart when it comes to bikes, but not with rotors!!!!

As mentioned above, just get some Ashima/Alligators if you want to change.

Hope rotors with non-hope calipers = PITA!!

And for most riders offer no benefit at all.

Also look at Gusset rotors for lightweight options.

avid discs??? they are the biggest pile of over priced warping noisey cack on the market esp the g3. and they are more expensive than hope floaters.

but you right about "no hope brakes no hope discs".

I have never had an issue with any of my G2/G3 discs..... and had about 7 sets on different brakesets/bikes.

i have g2s and g3s and hope floaters, im always bending the g3s back into shape after a fast run and they make some terrible noises and you can feel the surface of the discs through the levers when braking very hard, not so much the g2's but the g3s are pretty bad, i think its because they've removed so much material to make them lighter.

now the hope floaters ive never touched once, no noises and always pull up very smooth and solid.
