Hi all. I've finally decided that my Giro hex helmet is best kept for the MTB. Can anyone recommend me a decent helmet for the road. Budget of £70 ish and if I can be choosy something that will match my lime trek 1.5.
Thanks

Thweres not much choice or at least there wasn't when I was looking last year to match my 1.5

Comfort is the most important thing - just go to your LBS and try what they have.

The Giro 'Monza' is quite a good helmet, I got my last one for 50 quid. The Boardman Road is £59.99 and got a good write-up in cycling plus recently, as did the Giro Stylus at just under 50 quid again. Not sure if they'd match your bike though! :P

This one - it's got your name on it! size S is currently £35 at Evans, if you're a medium or large it's available elsewhere for £50 to £65. I just broke the head support thing on my current one - carelessness - but I've bought another straight away. Very very light, lots of vents, looks smart.

Giro Pneumo? I have one and rate it.
It’s the most beautiful sport in the world but it’s governed by ***ts who have turned it into a crock of ****.

I've just invested in an Uvex FP1. Very, very light, pretty stylish and 25% off at the moment.

I've only worn it in anger a couple of times, but so far I'm very impressed. And they have a green and white one. But, as someone said, you should try them on first...

Just bought the Monza, and had it's first outing this morning. I like it.

RRP of £69.99 but Evans / CycleSurgery will Price Match Rutland Cycles' £48.99 so you can get it for 30% less.
