Planet-X Ti carbon skewers
dodgy

Anyone got a set? I've just tried fitting them to my bike and the rear is too short to get reliable purchase by the thread on the opposited end to the lever. I'd say the whole skewer is about (I haven't measured yet) a CM too short. Normally, the skewer's axle will almost protrude, or at least be almost flush from the centre of the nut .
My first attempt resulted in the end popping off when I closed the cam/lever!
My frame isn't a weird design and it's a standard 135mm offset, I've had standard Mavic and Easton wheels on it with the standard skewers, but I'm simply not confident in these skewers' ability to be safe!
Anyone?

PS - Yes, I realise the skeweres are front and rear specific and they have been tried at the right end of the bike0

Yep, got a pair, plenty long enough for my road frame with a bit over - so sounds like a dodgy one. I love 'em. Suggest give them a measure and contact p-x via the info@ email. They're generally pretty helpful...0

I'm just going to have to get some of these aren't I.
In bling red to match the Wilier's details.

I called up Planet X, they told me they are slightly shorter than other QRs and might be a tight fit on some frames. Well for me they don't fit on my Dolan or my Planet X Sportive.
I'll send them back, I'm not risking a safety critical piece of equipment, how much would it have cost to make the axle/rod 5mm longer :roll:0
