I dont want to spend hundreds for an Exposure but having been nearly knocked down twice in one 10m evening TT, I want a compact, light, flashing front light with a good quick mounting device. Is the Cateye HL-EL410 OK?

knog frog are pretty small, and inexpensive, they have 1 LED that is quite bright, or a few models up for more LED'sMy Rides:

Smart Polaris or Smart Bspoke are pretty good. The latter can be had as a 1 watt version which is bonkers powerful for the size. Not sure how long the batteries last though.
Smart plastics seem way better than Cateye too.
The Polaris can be bought in some incredible deals with the superb 1/2 watt rear light - I paid about £12 for the pair last year but this is still a great deal.

I've not used the BSpoke yet - only bought it last week in a Bike promotions sale in Leeds. I paid £20 for it which is less than half retail. Probably can be got somewhere else for that.

The Polaris are good long lasting 'be seen by' lights - the BSpoke more a shorter lasting 'see and be seen'Faster than a tent.......0 -
Don't know if this is too pricy but they should see you coming with this light http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25149
Not sure of the exchange rate but it's about 50 quid.
