Thanks for the kind words.
I have a few upgrades planned, probably some SPDs first (along with another pair for my road bike). Apart from that, I don't think I need to change anything at the moment. I'm hoping to get out on it today or tomorrow, assuming it's not raining...

Great bike - but then I am biased
Just make sure you go over every allen bolt and give it a tweak - especially the cranks. Other than that I think you'll enjoy it.
BTW I go my SPDs in white from Merlin, £19.99 with free delivery and they came next day.0 -

Hi, this guy from local is selling a Carrera Fury 2010 white for £300 but I noticed that the newer version has a different coloured fork sticker. Can anyone tell me the difference??????
Is 300 a good price? it is an 18" frame.
If you don't know, on the fork on the 2010 version, it shows the right hand side of the fork 'SUNTOUR EPICON' in black writing.
on the 2011 version it shows, 'SUNTOUR EPICON' in white writing.
what is the difference between the 2 bikes?0 -

He's cancelled it, what a asswipe honestly. I got up this morning to go train station but I text him before hand and he goes, sorry but i sold it for £400.
I was like, well legally that bikes mine now because you made an invitation to offer and entered in to a contract and confirmed evidence in writing (text) and it's against the law to pull out without a valid reason to do so.
He goes I apologise mate.
£290 for a fury with £120 worth of accessories, I can't believe it, gone just like that!0 -

lol i never got replies in hotmail for this thread. well i went to halfords today and they had a sale on the carrera fury for £440 and £10 for a small rip in the saddle. it was the last 18" frame on display model. I walked 2 miles from home to town and turned up and was inspecting the bike, in the morning he ad told me it was brand new and had been there for 2 weeks, i know the guy called max was trying to do his job and he went ferocious and then i looked at him and said, you said it was brand new? this bikes been here for 3 months, why are there chips on the frame, dirty oiled brake levers and scratches in the brakes crevices near the handles, then i got on train to another town far away who had the bike in a different store and halfway i got off because the manager said he couldn't just let me come in and buy it he had to reserve my bike in the que.
then i got off, walked home and now someone saying they can get me a trek bike of £1200 for half price brand new through their company because they have sponsorship, sounds better to me than buying a poxy fury which has glossy paint, why the hell does it have tacky glossy paint? oh and guess what, the manager at one of the stores said, the new 2011 stock of white carrera bikes will not have glossy paint, they will be in a matte white finish.
i was like, is he suppose to tell me that so that i can blurt it all over on here lol
Is it really worth £430? or should i buy another bike someone has bought for example a trek for £900 and is selling for £500 on eBay or gumtree? it's hard just knowing what could have been better after you go and buy a bike that you been eyeing for a long time.0 -

well, at least i feel good to be part of a community that loves me n wants me because i know so much about bikes, its a shame i don't have one to show you because i'm in the process of buying one otherwise my stunning pictures, which of course you would be stunned by, but they won't be on here yet until I buy green things for it and then it will look cool, im trying to avoid making you all jealous u see x0
