You get eveything ready all week, order in all the parts check eveything get it all ready.

Get up Saturday morning, really excited stroll out to the garage, coffee and biscuits in hand. Start stripping it all down, then realise you have a 'wrong' part ! The next hour on the phone trying to find the correct part only to find out it is so specialised it has to be order on Monday !

For me, I forgot my forks had IS mount rather than post mount

Own up, who else :?:

Except this Monday is a Bank Holiday...
...so it'll be Tuesday you'll be ordering the correct part.

an IS adaptor can't be that hard to source can it? pretty sure my local decathlon has box full of the things in their workshop - wouldn't have thought they were an exception. alternatively, why not knock one together out of spare cutlery or half sucked blackjacks?

I'm in a similar situation was all pumped to replace my BB today but first I couldn't get one of the cranks off and now the BB just wont budge. I'm blaming it on the halfords tool set not being sturdy enough rather than any lack of strength on my part.

I had delusions of getting it the BB out finding out its size sourcing one locally and getting it all back together today too. :(
