my dog was euthanized on the table yesterday, throat cancer , she was 9. place is like a morgue without her.i am feeling like hell....she had a wonderful life and was eating normally right up to the end. maybe animals are lucky..we give them the option..this all happened just out of the blue...maybe the best way instead of dragging on and hoping.
will go for a very long ride tomorrow.

  • Sorry to hear about your dog. One small consolation is that it is no longer ill/in pain. Dogs are just as much a part of the family as anyone else

I hope your ride helps you switch off and relax

  • :( Sorry to hear that mate! Losing a dog is horrible!!! Still haven't got over losing one of mine when I was 12 (ten years ago!) But as you said, at least it wasn't dragged out! Nothing worse for an owner (or the dog for that matter) then them ageing and slowly becoming unable to do the stuff they used to be able to do! Just gotta think of all the great times you had with them!

I lost my last dog almost 20 years ago. He was 5 yrs old, I was devastated. Like losing a child, really.
    I could never have another...

I'm filling up, just thinking about it!
