TF Tuned - Simply The Best!

Having just refitted my recently serviced and repaired forks from TF Tuned, I thought they deserved a quick thread of thanks for the SUPERB service they have given. Superb and very polite communication, fast job turnaround, excellent attention to details and a full printed report of observations and work done - if only ALL cycle workshops were this good!
And if you are fortunate to be close to Westbury (where they are based) you can even visit them with your pre-booked forks, to eliminate the risk of any postal damage en route. You will get a friendly welcome and get to see them hard at work! They even bag up any old replaced parts for you to inspect at home.
10/10 marks! I'm sure I'm not the only one happy with their service!

i also think they are excellent, even just for over the fone advice.
i thought mojo were ok, but the only time i used them they sent me the wrong parts (although they rectified the issue very quickly)0 -
i had mine done about 2 weeks ago and they are really good. they are quite pricey though but the forks came back like new so cheaper in the long run
they called me when the forks were on the bench and he talked me through what he was going to do and asked about my weight, riding style etc for set up of the forks.
got a mail to say they were done and ready for dispatch, a mail with the tracking number and then a full written report and all the old parts they'd chganged returned so i could see they were worn
all this done in 24 hours..awsome0 -
Yep, ditto phoned them a couple of times for advice on new fork & shock setup, they talked me through the options then tuned em. Kept me informed by email and everything was sent back when they said it would be...
Great service and peace of mind thoroughly recommended, you get what you pay for IMO0 -
My experiences match those above, one of the best companies I've ever dealt with, MTB orientated or not. Expensive yes, value for money, definitely. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
Their business model is great indeed and well executed. Although on some forks like the Reba, when you realise how easy they are to work on, the VFM is pretty poor if you can be bothered trying. If not, then I can see why one wants to buy peace of mind.
As for setting them up, you don't exactly need a degre in suspension kinematics...0 -
Agree about the REBAs which is why I just serviced mine myself (although for the 2 service kits and oil I doubt I had much change left out of £ 45), trouble with the REBA's is there are design tolerance issues, something which TFT can cure (they said) by fitting a part they normally fit when they PUSH the fork. The ones they serviced and repaired for me were Fox TALAS 32s and they are a pig to sort, particularly as the TALAS side needed rebuilding. Specialist tools alone would have cost more than the service  .the VFM is pretty poor if you can be bothered trying.
There are a surprising number of people riding high end bikes that still struggle indexing gears. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

Where forks are concerned, I would say YES! They are better than all the rest, and their expertise really shows from the fact that they service and repair nothing but forks all day, everyday. In real terms, their basic service charges are NOT expensive, as not only will you get their expert eyes checking everything at every stage (peace of mind), but a well serviced fork is much cheaper (and less hassle) than having to buy a new fork. Sounds obvious, but it is easy to take this all for granted.

Cheaper = more need to cut corners to make money.
Good costs, for one thing, how hard is it for anyone to stay motivated to be as good as they can for cheap?
If you can do stuff yourself then any service doing the same thing is gonna seem like poor value. I do all repairs/servicing myself, but some people just don't do mechanics, however easy it seems to those that can...0
