Meanwhile, in the Tour de Gila (spoiler)
Landis beats Lance!

Hahahaha.
He tries to put his arm round her shoulder right at the end and she whispers something under her breath, something like 'Fcuk off, bikeboy', and he withdraws it straight away. Lovely.0 -
has Lance A fallen out with Nike? I see his shoes are old black worn...and no logos, nothing to show brand. Reminds me of Millar-early 1990s blacking out the Sidi logos.
edit- eg http://velonews.competitor.com/2010/04/ ... a1_410-044
but nike on the jersey...hmm. strange. Must be sore knees0 -
Nike don't seem overly bothered about selling cycling gear. I went in 3 different hige Nike factory stores in Florida looking for kit and they didn't have a single item between them!0

Training again?
Given this is mostly a home grown field, this result must give cause for concern.
Still, he did manage to edge out young Taylor and FLandis.
That's some sandwich Mr Phinney finds himself in! :P"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Haha. Amgen generally does alright:
As for this race....I don't really understand why some top pros are allowed to take part under different teams. Maybe it works out well due to increased interest/investment/media or whatever, but it gives the other riders a hard chance of beating the likes of Levi and the Garmins.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Nike got out of cycling kit when Armstrong retired and haven't bothered to get back into it. I think it's too niche for them. You can sell basketball shoes and football shirts to people as casual wear which massively increases the size of the market. Very much not the case with cycling gear.John Stevenson0 -

She races herself! Time to do some research for the Girls in Lycra thread - she must test the stretchiness properties of lycra to their limits!0 -

the thing is half the Nike cycling stuff was actually the same as the Nike running stuff just with a different sticker on it. Socks and base layers were the same.
I liked some of the Nike kit wish they would make more not a fan of the RS jersey so think I will give that one a miss0
