Italian Sportive September

I'd like to plan a late summer holiday by doing a Sportive in Italy in September and then heading from there by train and ferry to the med - Greece probably.
I've done a couple of events in France including the EdeT but for September I'd place more value on a good course, good organisation and good scenery than one of the established mass Gran Fondo types.
Anyone got any recommendations for an "alternative" Fondo?
Cheers
Graeme

Hi Graeme
I have a friend in Italy called Julian that organises cycling holidays including sportives. His website is

Cheers for the link Torelli, I'll check it out.
I also found this

Which answers my own question I think.Where the neon madmen climb0 -
GF COlnago is in the first week of September in Piacenza.
You can easily hop on the train down to Brindisi after that to get your ferry, but watch your bike.
Brindis is riddled with tea leaves.0 -
As suggested before, the GF Colnago is on 5th September otherwise there are many other options, here just some of the most famous;
12/09
Granfondo Cinque Terre
Granfondo Dolomiti Stars
Granfondo Pantanissima
19/09
Granfondo Polti
Granfondo Luca Avesani
Among those ones as for location and route I'd choose the Dolomiti Stars and the Avesani ones.
Hope it helps.0
