Jumping Rear Mech

I've just replaced my chain, BB and rear cassette, but the cage on the rear mech jumps around like a loony when riding on the middle ring! I must admit it does'nt do this when riding on the outer ring. The middle ring is worn for sure, but wouldn't have thought that this would cause the rear mech to jump about? Gears are set up ok... Any advice greatly appreciated. thanks

Could be... All I did was count the links from the old and adjusted new chain to suit. Chain is IG with an HG70 11-28 7 speed cassette...

Whats the best way to determine correct chain length?

See the FAQ. But if it was right to start with, it will be right this time.

Change the middle ring asap.
