I have a large sized Carrera LRS frame, sat gathering dust in the shed. Looks a bit like this but in black:

Someone is interested in buying it. How much do you reckon I should ask for it?

I *personally* wuold say around £50-60 ...... but these things are hard to price. All depends on how bad someone wants one...

    So that's £61 to WAIH ;)

Having found out who's looking to buy it, I gracefully retract my bid due to sheer futility.

    So does Gill.

Or I might get her a pink anodized alloy one for valentines day.

  • My mate broke 2 if them in 6 months.

IIRC they where £1000 at the time (like 2003-04) fully built.

    Here's one on ebay...

So with that in mind, £60-£70.

You see, much as I'm interested in your offer, I already have a full race spec Tamiya Hotshot II (very old-skool) and have only just got rid of the pit/monkey-bike that was taking up room in the back garden.

However, I may be interested in a P/X for your sister...

I also had the Ford F150, but it came originally as a Baja racer and I just changed the body. They were so much better than the later ones. You could fix and modify them with bits of Meccano. (once made a snow plow for mine). Grasshopper was quick in a straight line, but had a tendency to tip over, even with a shock upgrade.

I used to have a Tamiya Madcap Baja buggy RC car, then worked my way up to a Tenth Technology Predator. Ooh, the geekiness, ooh the memories :D
Also had a boss cat, and a Schumacher fireblade.
  • Mardave Ministock, £38 including charger and battery! They were ace, I had a few and spare parts were only a few pence!

Also had the F150 - Blackfoot,
    Tamiya Manta Ray
    Schumacher Cougar
and then moved on to racing the RC10.

About your frame though, £50 sounds enough to me!

Woohoo, i'd forgotten about Mardave! my brother used to have the Marauder, and my friend had the smaller electric version, which i can't remember what it was called.
