Hi

Need to send a frame and forks to Holland.
Any ideas on best company to use and cheapest way to do it ?
Only quote so far was approx £100 which is loads more than I wanted to pay.
Most charge by volume so I'm gonna construct as smaller box as poss from a larger bike box but I think dimensions will be 110cm by 70cm by 20cm and will weigh about 4kilos.

Cheers

    Hand deliver it via Harwich-Hook of Holland. And have a nice weekend in the process.

    Try Parcel2Go.com they're usually pretty good.

    Not Hook...

    As in, Dutch for 'corner'.

    Noted, and apologies. In my defence, I used that service about 5 times last spring and it was always referred to as "Hook", so you might want to tell the people at Stena!
    See http://www.stenaline.co.uk/ferry/routes/

    "Hook" always did confuse me, geographically it looks nothing like a hook. Corner makes much more sense.

    I've used this company in the past and they've been consistently cheaper than any others, they act as an aggregator so get bulk discount with the regular courier companies;

    www.interparcel.com

    I sent a frame and forks to Denmark last year for £18 with them.

    Went for Parcelforce via parcel2go.com
    Cost £22 inc vat
    Parcelforce direct was about £85 !

    Now I'm just waiting for the replacement to be dispatched back to me ...
