Hi everyone,
Starting to love tinkering and taking more care of my bike. Now think that a repair stand would be a good investment.
Any reccommedations?
Thanks for any advice.

I have this, obviously not as good as the Park Tool one, but it is a third of the price!!

I just bought this and using one of the discount codes on the website came in at about £50 postage free!!

+1 for the Ribble one, very nice bit of kit and a bargain at around £50. Much better than the picture on the website suggests, too.
edit: whoops, the Ribble one I have is the one linked by ScottieP below, not the one above0 -
Just got one of these from Ribble and am loving it .... very pleased with it for the money:

+1 For all the stands that were shown on the links. More than adequate for the home shop. High dollar, high end stands are nice, for the LBS, but for the home shop you really don't need something that rugged.0

Thanks everyone!!
This is so helpful - and will save me money!
Much appreciated.0 -
Update - i bought the Bike Tool stand from Ribble (post free).
It is excellent value for money - well built and finished and just over £50.
Thanks again for the advice guys.0 -
Me too! It's in the car boot as we speak. Eagerly awaiting my next mechanical.
Might be a while though; couple of weeks ago I fitted a new chain, stripped and cleaned the transmission and indexed the gears. Maybe I'll do the headset just for the thrill of it. I suppose after 2 winters it won't hurt to clean and regrease the thing.0 -
Hmm that Boss version from Ribble looks a good design (as far as the feet are concerned anyway)0

Woah! Finally got round to unpacking the thing at the weekend. It's truly impressive. The pic on Ribble's website doesn't do it justice at all. Looks / feels hefty enough to lift the engine out of the car. Well worth £50 of anybody's money0
