bike build problems

HI ALL CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE?
IM NEW TO THE BIKE BUILDING GAME AND AM PUTTING A BIKE TOGETHER TO DO TRIATHLONS ON.
IVE GOT THE FRAME FORKS BARS ETC AND AM NOW LOOKING AT GEARING, IVE GOT FUJI CRANKS WITH A DOUBLE CHAIN RING AND BAR END SHIFTERS WHICH HAVE COMPATIBLE WITH RD7700 9 SPEED OR RD 7400 8 SPEED STAMPED ON THEM, COULD ANYONE ADVISE ME ON COMPATABLE FRONT AND REAR MECHS AND AM I BEST GOING FOR 8 OR 9 SPEED ( THE CHAIN RINGS ARE COMPACT SIZE).
I DONT HAVE A FORTUNE TO SPEND AND STILL NEED A FEW OTHER BITS AND BOBS SO LOOKING AT BUYING GOOD QUALITY RELATIVLY INEXPENSIVE STUFF PLEASE RESPOND sorry about the caps lock lol
also which is best braze on or band on for the front mech?

    Being on a budget, I would go for Shimano Tiagra 9 speed, or even Sora, considering it's a TT bike, so it won't do thousands of miles per year. These days Sora is a very decent groupset.

    8 Speed is a bit obsolete and I'm not sure you'll save anything by going 8 speed (provided you find anything to buy at all)

    braze on vs band on depends what frame you have, if you have a brazed on attachement on the lower part of your seat tube then you need a braze on front mech to attach to that. If the seat tube doesn't have anything sticking out of it then you'll need a band on front mech to grip round the frame.

    braze on attachment would look something like this:

    Where as a frame without a braze on attachment would need a front mech with the band. If you really want (or already have) a braze oon front mech but no attachemnt on the frame you can get a band attachemnt with the braze on hook so you can use a braze on front mech:
