Volcanic Ash Fallout

Anyone having problems getting hold of their new bike?
Mine, due today, is apparently delayed for four weeks as a consequence of the volcanic ash disruption!
I would expect a one week delay and can put up with two weeks...but four just seems like I've gone to the back of the queue.
If anyone has had or is having a similar experience, I'd be keen to hear.
Cheers

I doubt if too many bikes are sent over from Taiwan/China/USA via air - most would be in a container onboard a ship.
A few people have mentioned of delays on their bike orders, but I suspect this is more down to wholesalers not wanting to place their orders until last minute, due to the economic climate, rather than the climate surrounding Iceland.Cycling weakly0 -
Bikes are generally shipped by the container-load by sea - air would be too expensive because of the volume vs weightMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

There may well be a whiff of something in the air, but I suspect it is coming from the rear of a cow rather than from a volcano.Cycling weakly0
