Garmin 705

I'd be interested to know if anyone with an Edge 705 is having problems with downloading rides on to Garmin Connect? The computer doesn't see the completed rides, even though it has been stored on GPS.

    I've got the same problem with 1 ride from Saturday. No HR/Cadence/Route info recorded - but shows time/duration.....

    I spoke to Garmin about this problem last week They advised, on my desktop, to connect only via the USB ports at the back and not via a hub or the front ports. I can't try it out as the unit has gone back for repair as the screen has gone.

    One other thing. Mine is version 2.7 (perhaps that's the problem?), well something like that! GC keeps telling me I can update it to version 3.1. But when I go to the update page it talks about forerunners and firmwear. Why can't it say edge 705?

    I know nothing about computers so I always give up incase I wipe clean the GPS and end up with an expensive, empty, plastic box.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    My 705 is 3.1. I don't remember it being too hard to update the software.

    Mine is 3.1, and my rides out after that day worked fine.....
