Bearing in mind I won't be using one all that often would this one below do the job? A workshop Park chain tool seems a bit exy for the amount of use it will get. I take it I can use this on SRAM as well as Shimano chains as well?

the handle comes off too so its easier to fit into a backpack and comes with a spare pin as well

That looks fine. Might go for that one. Can it also be used on stiff links?

i think thats what the ridges are for.

one set holds the chain so you can push the pin right through and the other set just hold it so you can squeeze the tight link.

    i think.

I have the park one you linked to and I'd certainly buy it again. It's strong, and compact enough to carry in your saddle bag or camelbak.

Another vote for the Park one very nice and strong, mate has the other one you have link to and it is good but it is very heavy compared to the park one and bigger I keep the Park one in my camelbak all the time
