I recently had my bike serviced along with the brakes bled by my LBS, the rear brake was working fine and about 200 miles later you could pull the lever all the way back to the handlebar before the pads would hit the disc. Am i right in thinking that there is too much air in the brake system? But surely my LBS should had sorted this when they were bled??

i have tried pumping the lever several times but this does nothing. Is anyone able to offer me any advice??? :o

when the pads touch the rotor how does the lever feel?

have you tried adjusting the lever reach screw?

When the pads touch the rotor it feels like how it would feel normally and stopping power is the same as normal.

these brakes are the 2008 model, i thought that this was only introduced on the 09 model?

all hopes have a lever adjuster. move the lever away from the grip and it will help reset the pistons.
