route recommendation - clapham junction to Thornton heath

morning everyone!

Anyone have any ok routes to get from clapham junction area to thornton heath?

Bare hills? or not too bad?

    The obvious one is A24 down through Balham, left at Tooting Bec Tube on A214, then down the A23. Bit of an awkward junction at the bottom of Tooting Bec, though, and I don't know how you feel about the A23. A slightly longer, but quieter route would be to sty on the A24 to Tooting Broadway, then turn off onto the A217 and follow that through Mitcham, then down towards Croydon before crossing back over the A23.
