Looking to replace my SC Bullit with something a bit more uphill friendly, but still able to handle a fair bit of abuse.

Current options:

Trek Remedy
Lappierre Zesty
Lappiere Spicy
Spesh Enduro

Any opionions on any of these bikes? Would probably run it with two chain rings, a Gamut dual chainguide and an adjustable seatpost.

    Hi Jon,

I cannot really comment on the other bikes in your list but I currently moved to an enduro and would never look back.

Climbs just as good as my old stumpjumper (maybe better?) and is far far better on the decents.

I bought the 07 Sworks frame and stuck some Fox VAN36s on the front, its an awesome bike and a pleasure to ride :D

Have fun in deciding on your next steed!!

  • I had a look at the 2010 Enduro Expert today, but am not sure about the Lyrik 2 Steps, have heard a lot of bad things about them, especially since I would be going from a pair of 36 Van RC2s!

Would go for the Spicy..my mate has one and it's stunning...a great ride and the geometery is really sorted...the Wolf Ridge is a god buy at the mo from Cycle Surgery at just over a garnd so thats £800 off retail..not a bad spec either...if its as good as my Mount Vision you will be sorted !!

If the world was flat, I wouldn't be riding !
  • Have never ridden a set of Pikes, what are they like. To be honest, I just don't like the look of the Marin, don't know why!

  • What size headset does the 2010 Enduro have? My forks are 1 1/8th".

Should be 1 1/8th, go onto speshs site and double check by downloading the manual mind.....

Just as important is the steer tube length, if the Vans are too short its game over right away!

Page 4 is very important if your thinking of a fork change!

  • The question is, how much would I be able to sell the Lyriks for, since I could then stick some triple crowns on my Bullit and use it as a DH bike.

just back from a day out at Glentress, stomped on the pedals of my Zesty 514 on the way up, matched my buddy on his Scott Ransom 10 on the way down, changed the height of the seatpost once mid-section, though often between up and down sections, in a 3 hour blast, so why bother with an adjustable? big ring on the way down so why have 2 when you can have 3!!

    only my thoughts,

    whatever you buy......best of luck!
